Yorkshire Terrier Black and Tan Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds

A little handmade heart for someone who is completely devoted to their Yorkie. ❤️🐾

This charming hand painted Yorkshire Terrier ceramic heart decoration features a little black and tan Yorkie sitting rather proudly in the snow, finished with a red neckerchief.

Each one is individually hand painted by me in my Shropshire studio, with expressive brushwork capturing that unmistakable scruffy little Yorkshire Terrier character. Raised white ceramic details create the snowy ground and falling snow, and the heart is finished with a white organza ribbon ready for hanging.

A lovely Yorkshire Terrier gift for a Yorkie owner or dog lover, and particularly sweet as a Christmas decoration or keepsake.

Size & details: Approx. 11cm x 11cm, finished with a white organza hanging ribbon. As each heart is painted individually by hand, there will naturally be small variations in the brushwork, colouring and expression.

Why is this a Super Second?

During firing, the glaze on this heart developed crazing – very fine hairline cracks within the glazed surface. It doesn't stop the heart being displayed and enjoyed, but it means it doesn't meet the standard I require for my full-priced ceramics.

Please be aware that crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph. The fine lines can disappear completely in some lighting and become much more noticeable when the glaze catches the light at a particular angle.

I've tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the photographs before purchasing. The position and amount of crazing may vary between individual hearts.

Slightly imperfect, still completely adorable and this little Yorkie certainly doesn't appear to be losing any sleep over it. 😂🐾
