Jack Russell Tan, Black and White Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds (Copy)

Tiny terrier. Huge character. Absolutely no intention of doing what you asked. 😂🐾

This charming hand painted tri-colour Jack Russell ceramic heart decoration features a little Jack Russell sitting in the snow, wearing a red neckerchief.

Hand painted in tan, black and white with that wonderfully alert Jack Russell expression, the design is individually painted by me in my Shropshire studio. Raised white details create the falling snow and snowy ground beneath those little paws.

Finished with a white organza ribbon for hanging, it's a lovely Jack Russell gift for a terrier-loving home and would make a particularly sweet Christmas decoration or keepsake.

Why is this a Super Second?

This little Jack Russell is joining my Super Seconds Festival because the glaze has developed crazing during firing.

Crazing appears as a network of very fine lines within the glazed surface. It means the heart doesn't quite meet the standard I require for my full-priced ceramics, but it doesn't affect its charm and it's far too lovely not to find a home.

Please note that crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph. The fine lines can be almost invisible in some lighting and may only become noticeable when the glaze catches the light at certain angles.

I've tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible in the photographs, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the images before purchasing.

As each heart is individually hand painted, there may also be slight variations in brushstrokes, colour and detailing.

Perfectly imperfect. Although judging by that face, this Jack Russell would strongly dispute the "imperfect" bit. 😂❤️
