Dalmatian Black and White Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds

Spots, snow and a rather fabulous scarf. What more could a Dalmatian need? 🐾❄️

This lovely hand painted Dalmatian ceramic heart decoration features an elegant black and white spotted Dalmatian sitting in the snow, wrapped up against the cold in a red and pink spotted scarf.

With that unmistakable spotted coat, long legs and wonderfully distinctive profile, the design is individually hand painted by me in my Shropshire studio. Raised white details create falling snow around the dog and snowy drifts beneath its paws.

Finished with a white organza ribbon for hanging, this would make a lovely Dalmatian gift, Christmas decoration or special keepsake for someone completely devoted to their spotty four-legged friend.

Why is this a Super Second?

This Dalmatian heart is joining my Super Seconds Festival because the glaze has developed crazing during firing.

Crazing appears as a network of very fine lines within the glazed surface. It means the heart doesn't quite meet the standard I require for my full-priced ceramics, but it's still far too lovely to go to waste.

Please note that crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph. The fine lines can be almost invisible in some lighting and may only become noticeable when the glaze catches the light at certain angles.

I've tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible in the photographs, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the images before purchasing.

As each heart is individually hand painted, there may also be slight variations in brushstrokes, colour and detailing.

A few extra lines amongst all those spots certainly aren't going to worry this one. 😂🐾
