Cocker Spaniel Black and Tan Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds

For the Cocker Spaniel who firmly believes every walk should end with a treat. 🐾❤️

This charming hand painted brown and tan Cocker Spaniel ceramic heart decoration features a beautiful Cocker sitting patiently in the snow, wrapped up for winter in a warm rusty-orange scarf.

With those wonderfully long Spaniel ears, rich dark coat and contrasting tan markings, this little dog is individually hand painted by me in my Shropshire studio. Raised white details create falling snow and snowy drifts beneath the paws, giving the whole design a lovely wintry feel.

Finished with a white organza ribbon for hanging, it would make a thoughtful Cocker Spaniel gift, Christmas decoration or keepsake for someone whose dog has a very special place in their heart.

Why is this a Super Second?

This Cocker Spaniel heart is joining my Super Seconds Festival because the glaze has developed crazing during firing.

Crazing appears as a network of very fine lines within the glazed surface. It means the heart doesn't quite meet the standard I require for my full-priced ceramics, but it's still far too lovely to go to waste.

Please note that crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph. The fine lines can be almost invisible in some lighting and may only become apparent when the glaze catches the light at particular angles.

I've tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible in the photographs, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the images before purchasing.

As every heart is individually hand painted, there may also be slight variations in brushstrokes, colouring and detailing.

A little imperfect, completely unique and still very deserving of a lovely home. 🐶❤️
