Cocker Spaniel Black & White Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds

For the Cocker Spaniel who is always ready for a winter adventure. 🐾❄️

This lovely hand painted black and white Cocker Spaniel ceramic heart decoration features a rather handsome Cocker sitting in the snow, wrapped up in a warm rusty-orange scarf.

With those wonderfully long ears, distinctive black and white markings and big, soulful eye, he's been individually hand painted by me in my Shropshire studio. Raised white details create little dots of falling snow and snowy drifts beneath his paws.

Finished with a white organza ribbon for hanging, this would make a lovely Cocker Spaniel gift, Christmas decoration or special keepsake for someone whose four-legged friend is very much part of the family.

Why is this a Super Second?

This little Cocker is joining my Super Seconds Festival because the glaze developed crazing during firing.

Crazing creates a network of very fine lines within the glazed surface. It means the piece doesn't quite meet the standard I require for my full-priced ceramics, but it's still far too lovely not to find a home.

Please note that crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph. The fine lines may only become visible when the glaze catches the light at certain angles and can almost disappear under different lighting.

I've tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible in my photographs, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the images before purchasing.

As every heart is individually hand painted, there may also be small variations in colour, brushstrokes and detailing.
