Dachshund Black and Tan Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds

For the little dog with a very long body and an even bigger personality. 🐾❤️

This charming hand painted black and tan Dachshund ceramic heart decoration features a little sausage dog trotting through the snow in a rather fabulous green festive jumper, complete with holly-inspired detailing.

With his distinctive long body, little legs and black and tan colouring, he's individually hand painted by me in my Shropshire studio. Raised white details create falling snow and snowy trails beneath his paws.

Finished with a white organza ribbon for hanging, this would make a lovely Dachshund gift, Christmas decoration or special keepsake for someone completely devoted to their sausage dog.

And frankly, if anyone was made for a Christmas jumper, it's a Dachshund. 😂🎄

Why is this a Super Second?

This Dachshund heart is joining my Super Seconds Festival because the glaze has developed crazing during firing.

Crazing appears as a network of very fine lines within the glazed surface. It means the heart doesn't quite meet the standard I require for my full-priced ceramics, but it's still far too lovely to go to waste.

Please note that crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph. The fine lines may only become visible when the glaze catches the light at certain angles and can appear much less noticeable under different lighting.

I've tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible in the photographs, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the images before purchasing.

As each heart is individually hand painted, there may also be slight variations in brushstrokes, colour and detailing.

Perfectly imperfect – and ready to trot off to a new home. 🐾
