Beagle Hand Painted Ceramic Heart Super Seconds

For the Beagle lover who knows that the best things in life often come with four paws… 🐾

This charming hand painted Beagle ceramic heart decoration features an adorable Beagle sitting proudly in the snow, complete with a warm red neckerchief.

Each heart is individually hand painted by me in my Shropshire studio, so no two are ever completely identical. Little variations in brushstrokes and colour are all part of their handmade character.

Finished with raised white painted details to create falling and settled snow, the heart hangs from a simple white organza ribbon and makes a lovely little piece of wall décor. It would make a thoughtful Beagle gift, dog lover gift or a special keepsake for someone completely besotted with their four-legged friend.

And, as anyone who has ever been owned by a Beagle will know, they're rather good at stealing hearts… and probably anything vaguely edible left within reach. 😉

Why is this a Super Second?

I have four of these Beagle ceramic hearts joining the Super Seconds Festival because the glaze has developed crazing during firing. Crazing appears as a network of very fine lines within the glazed surface, which means these hearts don't quite meet my usual standards for a full-priced Sister Sister piece.

The crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph because the fine lines are often only visible when the light catches them at certain angles. I've tried to show it as clearly as possible in the photographs, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the images before purchasing.

The amount and position of the crazing will vary from heart to heart.

They're simply too lovely to discard, so these slightly imperfect little Beagles are looking for homes where their quirks will be loved. ❤️

Please note: As these are handmade and hand painted, each heart will have its own individual character and small variations. Please refer to the numbers alongside each heart for identification.
