A little bit of Aussie love ❤️🐾
This hand-painted ceramic heart features an adorable Australian Shepherd wrapped up for winter in a bright red scarf, surrounded by little raised snowy details.
Each heart is individually hand-painted by me in my Shropshire studio, so no two are ever completely identical. The little differences in brushstrokes and markings are part of what makes each one special.
Finished with a white organza ribbon, it's ready to hang and would make a lovely little piece of dog-themed home decor, a Christmas decoration, or a thoughtful gift for an Australian Shepherd owner or dog lover.
Why is this a Super Second?
These hearts have developed crazing in the glaze during firing. A network of very fine lines across the glazed surface. Because of this, they don't meet my usual standards for a full-priced Sister Sister piece and are joining the Super Seconds Festival.
Please note: crazing is notoriously difficult to photograph as the fine lines are often only visible when the light catches them at certain angles. I have tried to show the crazing as clearly as possible, so please zoom in and look carefully at all the photographs before purchasing. The amount and position of the crazing will vary slightly from heart to heart.
The crazing is cosmetic and doesn't detract from how lovely these little Aussies look on display, but I want you to know exactly why they're being offered as Super Seconds.
